Where customs permits inspection, capture overall views and distinguishing details. Link each photograph to its carton, unit or sample. Record the source and version of the genuine reference. State whether the observation concerns the whole consignment or only the items inspected.
Preserve original images and annotate copies. A logo difference should be assessed alongside camera angle, lighting and label version. Share personal and commercial information from shipment documents only with people assigned to the case.
